About RealCalculation
RealCalculation is an independent website offering free browser-based calculators for everyday math and financial decisions. The goal is straightforward: show the calculation, explain the assumptions and help visitors understand the result.
How we approach accuracy
Financial tools should separate calculated outputs from assumptions and estimates. Our mortgage calculator models a fixed-rate loan and provides a repayment schedule, including the effect of additional principal payments. It is not connected to a lender and does not provide approval decisions, personalized investment advice or guaranteed rates.
We document each calculator’s model and important limitations. Visit the methodology page for further detail. Actual loan terms, fees, insurance rules and interest conventions may differ from the model.
What visitors can expect
Clear input labels, accessible results, practical worked examples and transparent limitations. Where a calculation uses regulatory rules or data maintained by outside organizations, we aim to identify the source and distinguish it from a user-entered assumption. A page’s update date should reflect substantive work, not a daily automated change.

Privacy and limitations
The mortgage calculator performs calculations in your browser. Shared scenario links can include values you choose to share, so review a link before sending it to someone. See our privacy policy.
RealCalculation is an informational resource, not a bank, mortgage broker or licensed financial adviser. Verify important results against official lender documentation before making a financial commitment.
